On Saturday 14 October 2017, CDE were proud to support a rugby match like no other. Proving the power of sport to enrich lives, some of the world’s greatest rugby legends battled it out to raise funds to enable World War Two heroes to make a special trip of Remembrance. Remembrance Travel is the travel arm of the Royal British Legion. Each year they take a range of people from WWII veterans to schoolchildren all over the world to discover, explore and remember the bravery and sacrifice of our Armed Forces.
The rugby match was Legionnaires v. Legends and held on the fantastic pitches in the heart of the City of London at Artillery Ground, Armoury House. The fundraising match was followed by a gala ball at the Honourable Artillery Club attended by CDE and their guests from Wates.
